  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 medium zucchinis, spiralized into zoodles
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent, then add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground beef (or turkey) to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer the sauce for 10-15 minutes until it thickens.
  5. Meanwhile, spiralize the zucchinis into zoodles and set them aside.
  6. In a baking dish, layer half of the zoodles, followed by half of the Bolognese sauce. Repeat the layers.
  7. Top the dish with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired before serving.
